Limited Warranty Policy

This Limited Warranty Policy ("Warranty Policy") applies to Akriti Precision Systems Private Limited ("APSPL," "we," "us," or "our") branded hardware and software products ("Products") sold or leased by APSPL, its subsidiaries, affiliates, authorized resellers, or authorized distributors through https://akriti.tech ("Website") or other authorized sales channels. This Warranty Policy outlines your rights and obligations regarding warranty services for APSPL Products, in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and other applicable laws.

By purchasing or leasing a Product, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by this Warranty Policy, which supplements our Terms and Conditions of Sales and Service.

APSPL warrants that its Products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for the Warranty Period, subject to the conditions below.

The Warranty Period begins on the later of:

  • The date of purchase or lease, as evidenced by your dated sales or delivery receipt.
  • The date APSPL or an authorized service provider completes installation, if applicable.
  • The default Warranty Period is 12 months unless otherwise specified on the Product description page or in writing by APSPL or an authorized reseller.

You must provide a dated sales or delivery receipt or other proof of purchase/lease (e.g., order confirmation) to claim warranty service.

Certain Products may include extended warranty periods or additional coverage, as specified in the Product documentation or at https://akriti.tech.

If a Product is found defective during the Warranty Period, APSPL, at its sole discretion, will:

  • Repair the Product using new or refurbished parts.
  • Replace the Product with a new or refurbished equivalent.
  • Refund the purchase price (less depreciation) if repair or replacement is not feasible.

To initiate a warranty claim:

  • Contact APSPL at support@akriti.tech or via the contact form at https://akriti.tech within the Warranty Period.
  • Provide proof of purchase and a detailed description of the defect.
  • If instructed, return the Product to: Akriti Precision Systems Private Limited, Warehouse No.1 & 2, Site# 14/5 and 62, Kyalasanahal, 4th Cross, KRC Road, Main Road, Bangalore - 560077.
  • Include original packaging, accessories, and documentation (e.g., sales slip with order number, customer details, serial number, and defect description).

Inspect Products upon receipt and report any visible damage or defects within 7 days of delivery to initiate a warranty claim, in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Retain all original packaging for inspection in case of damage claims.

You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the defect is covered under this Warranty Policy or as required by applicable law. APSPL will cover shipping costs for repaired or replaced Products returned to you.

This Warranty Policy does not cover:

  • Damage due to misuse, abuse, accident, unauthorized modifications, or failure to follow Product instructions.
  • Physical damage (e.g., dents, cracks, scratches) not reported within 7 days of delivery.
  • Products altered or repaired by unauthorized third parties.
  • Software issues caused by external factors (e.g., viruses, incompatible systems).
  • Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality.
  • Non-APSPL branded products, even if sold through APSPL channels.
  • Special order or non-stock items, unless defective and reported within the Warranty Period.

To the extent permitted by Indian law, APSPL disclaims all implied warranties (e.g., merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose) beyond the express Warranty Period. APSPL’s maximum liability under this Warranty Policy is limited to the purchase price paid for the Product.

Software included with Products is warranted only to the extent specified in the applicable end-user license agreement (EULA) provided with the Product. APSPL does not warrant that software will be error-free or meet specific performance expectations, except as required by law.

APSPL offers complimentary limited technical support during the Warranty Period via:

Technical support is subject to availability and does not extend the Warranty Period unless specified.

In compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019:

  • You are entitled to clear information about the Warranty Policy, Product quality, and repair/replacement options.
  • Defective Products will be repaired, replaced, or refunded as per this policy, ensuring fair treatment.
  • For grievances, contact our support team at support@akriti.tech. We aim to resolve complaints within 7 business days, as required by Indian law.

For international customers, additional consumer rights may apply under local laws, and APSPL will comply where applicable (e.g., GDPR for data-related warranty claims).

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • APSPL is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (e.g., loss of profits, data, or business) arising from the use or inability to use the Product.
  • APSPL’s liability is limited to the purchase price paid for the Product.
  • This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law (e.g., Consumer Protection Act, 2019).

APSPL is not liable for delays or failures in providing warranty services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, government actions, or supply chain disruptions. We will notify you of such events and work to mitigate impacts.

This Warranty Policy is governed by the laws of India and the State of Karnataka. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. Unresolved disputes will be settled by binding arbitration in Bangalore, Karnataka, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with a single arbitrator appointed mutually. Courts in Bangalore have exclusive jurisdiction for non-arbitrable matters. Consumers may file complaints with the appropriate consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

If any provision of this Warranty Policy is found unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.

APSPL may update this Warranty Policy at its discretion. Changes will be posted on https://akriti.tech/limited-warranty with an updated “Last Updated” date. We will notify customers of material changes via email or Website notice where feasible. Continued use of the Product or warranty services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

This Warranty Policy, together with the Terms and Conditions of Sales and Service, Privacy Policy, and any applicable EULA, constitutes the entire agreement between you and APSPL regarding Product warranties. No prior representations or agreements apply unless in a separate written agreement signed by an authorized APSPL representative.
